Memory Statistics Are Here

An updated Fluent Forever app will be available on 21 Oct 2019.

We will publish the app in both app stores the morning of 21 Oct 2019 — it will be out of our hands as to exactly when the update becomes available for you, while the App Stores ensure you are able to access the latest and greatest.

Not only does this version bring you a giant update for language corrections, but we are excited to introduce you to our latest improvement: a summary of your progress of learning your new language.

How Does it Work?

When you work through a review session and answer whether you correctly answered the flashcard or not, we use that response along with our SRS algorithm to determine where that specific word is in your memory.

Each time you complete a review session and qualifying words are contained in that review session, we give you a quick overview of your progress. We don’t show you every word you have stored in the different memory areas, but rather, only the words which were included in that specific review session.

Words will move forwards and backwards along the memory areas depending on your answers during review sessions.

There are three memory areas and one group in the progress summary:

  • Short-term memory
  • Medium-term memory
  • Long-term memory
  • Word Pairs (this is only for the ear training/minimal pair flashcards)

This is the new look:

Don’t worry: this is just an example — we do NOT mix multiple languages together for your progress

We are wrapping up testing on an updated bottom navigation bar and a tutorial for new users to help them understand the flashcard creation progress.
