An updated Fluent Forever app will be available in the Apple and Google Play app stores on 18 July 2019.
In preparation for this update, we will have maintenance downtime from 0200-0600 CT on 18 July 2019. We will then publish the app in both app stores — it will be out of our hands as to exactly when the update becomes available for you, while the App Stores ensure you are able to access the latest and greatest.
Yes, another version of the Fluent Forever app is available. We just keep on cranking them out. This version brings you mostly language-related updates.
First up, we are releasing final bits of initial Russian language content and expansions to Korean and Portuguese (Brazil). There are numerous little changes to sentences thanks to input from our great users.
Next, we pushing out fixes to issues related with Pronunciation levels. These should no longer load blank or cause you any issues with your daily streak. We also adjusted the daily goal of “Complete a Pronunciation Level” to a bonus task for Advanced users.
Then, we are giving you updated login screens. Next time you log out (and back in, obviously!), check it out — it moves and is all kinds of fancy.
Finally, we bring you a collaboration of our app and the Most Awesome Word List. The next time you check out Base Vocab and Grammar tabs, they will have images for the different sets, guidance tips for using the app, wider word boxes, and updated buttons for marking as known or skipping.
Here are a few screenshots for a glimpse into what you will experience:
SO, WHAT’S NEXT?
We are fighting some nasty bugs – audio stops working and review sessions repeating.
We have a bigger version coming next time that will bring you the ability to search for sentences to create flashcards based on the word(s) YOU want to learn.
